United Media Alliance

Misinformation is running rampant and the public is confused. Setting aside partisan differences and business interests, on certain specific important matters we need to do something very different to ensure that the American experiment in democracy doesn't fail. A systemic failure here in the US would cause unimaginable dark ripples around the world.

US Presidents Barack Obama, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush came together to issue a joint message in 2010 for the world to help the people of Haiti after the devastating earthquake. They came together again with a message of unity and hope in 2021, to congratulate President Biden, and the world again took notice. Their unified voices were important. Similarly, a strong alliance of media companies coming together in an unprecedented manner with a unified fact-based message would go a long way toward bridging the divides in our country. In the same spirit as Mahatma Gandhi's “Satyagraha”, or truth force movement, the time for action is NOW for media companies to come together in a unified manner. The United Media Alliance aims to facilitate this need.

The United Media Alliance is an alliance of media companies and their supporters who are focused on issuing unified fact-based messages around the subjects of the 2020 US presidential election, January 6 insurrection, and voting rights devolution (and potentially other subjects in the future). Each media organization will remain fully autonomous and will gain even more public trust while providing a united front to the public.
